Increasing public awareness about cervical cancer prevention and the importance of regular cervical cancer screening is a very important process to enhance the cervical cancer screening coverage. Through conducting different health promotional activities and collaboration with different parties and non-government organizations, Cervical Screening Programme has disseminated the information to public and service providers.

Women

A wide variety of activities has been carried out by the Cervical Screening Programme to encourage more women to have regular cervical smears. These activities included media campaigns, distribution of health education materials, roving exhibitions, website, sending invitation letters etc.

Service Providers

To increase the awareness of service providers about the Cervical Screening Programme, different activities have been conducted like sending invitation letters to the doctors, conducting briefing sessions and experience sharing forum, and placing advertisements on local medical journals.
