Let’s support Hong Kong Cancer Day 2018

   

9 December 2018

Organised by the Hong Kong Anti-Cancer Society, the 6th Hong Kong Cancer Day event was held on 9 December 2018 at the Piazza of Kowloon Park, and the Department of Health was one of the co-organisers. This year’s event was themed "Anti-Cancer, Say No to Alcohol” to raise the public awareness on harms of alcohol for cancer prevention.

Dr Constance CHAN, Director of Health, Dr Regina CHING, Head of Surveillance and Epidemiology Branch, and Dr Eddy NG, Principle Medical Officer of Centre for Health Protection came to our game booth and showed their support.

Captain AC (Anti-cancer) and Buddy of the Department of Health appeared in the event to promote alcohol-related harms and brought lots of fun to the participants. You may visit the website of the Hong Kong Anti-Cancer Society or facebook to learn more.

"Care You Deserve" Women's Cancers Campaign - Charity Walk

   

7 October 2018

The Department of Health (DH) was honoured to be invited as a supporting organisation to the "Care You Deserve" Charity Walk. The activity was jointly organised by the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Lee Ka Shing Faculty of Medicine, The University of Hong Kong and The Hong Kong Anti-Cancer Society with the aim to raise awareness on women's cancers.

The activity was held on 7 October 2018 at Peak Road Garden. Representative from the DH participated in the activity to support the fight against women’s cancer and had a lot of funs with the participants and guests. Please click here to see the photos.

Health Talk on Cervical Cancer Prevention and Screening

The Department of Health and the Women and Family Enhancement Centre of the Hong Kong Family Welfare Society co-organised a health talk on 8 March 2018 to enhance women’s knowledge about cervical cancer prevention, encourage them to have regular cervical cancer screening and join the Cervical Screening Programme.
